Last week the team and I paid a visit to Manchester235, a Las Vegas style Casino in the heart of Manchester City centre, to host the second stop of our aBILLity Roadshow. As with the first stop, held in London last July, the aim was to provide our clients with a review of the latest features in aBILLity and a preview of what’s coming in 2015.
The theme of our aBillity roadshow was on ‘Maximising Margins’ and as this suggests, the content focused on how new functionality within our aBILLity platform can be used to improve efficiency whilst generating greater profitability for resellers. Following the presentations we moved over to Manchester235’s ‘Icon’ members lounge for drinks, canapés and a few games of Blackjack and Roulette.
During the presentations we also took the opportunity to survey our audience on a number of topics which led to some interesting findings.
Despite weakness in the Eurozone, uncertainty over the UK’s place in Europe and various other question marks over the future of the economy, 97 percent of our audience predicted that business would improve over the next 12 months.
71 percent of our audience had experienced a customer fall victim to telecom fraud, with 24 percent considering the effects of fraud to be ‘extremely damaging’ to their business. A further 46 percent considered telecom fraud to be ‘frustrating,’ whilst the remaining 30 percent considered fraud to be either a ‘mild annoyance’ or to have a ‘non-existent’ impact on their business.
We were also pleased to see that 91 percent of the audience agreed that Union Street is investing in the right areas of development to help their businesses achieve their goals. Naturally we were hoping for 100 percent however, discussions that followed the presentations have given us some great insights into how we can tweak our solutions to service some of the more specialist requirements of the remaining nine percent.
It was great to have a chance to meet up with so many of our clients and to get their valuable feedback on the developments we have in mind and what they would like to see introduced to aBILLity. Thanks go out to all our clients who came to support the event, we’ll look forward to seeing you all in 2015 if not before.
