A team of runners from Richmond based Union Street Technologies, a leading provider of billing and provisioning solutions, recently competed in a 10k race at the annual Richmond Running Festival to raise money for the Victoria Foundation.
Touted as London’s most exclusive race, much of the course is held in the idyllic surroundings of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and is perhaps the only race in Europe to be held at a World Heritage Site.
Established in 2007, The Victoria Foundation is a charity based in Richmond which has helped to improve many lives in the local and wider community by providing essential medical support and equipment to those in need. The Union Street Team raised over £500 in donations for the charity.
Submitting Union Street’s fastest time at 43:44 was Managing Director Tony Cook. He comments, “We created this team because we wanted to raise money for a great cause and make a difference by participating in the Richmond Running Festival. As individuals who love to run and be active, this team effort has certainly got us competitive and motivated. There’s been lots of sneaky lunch hour runs, running into work and home, extra gym sessions and so on. Thanks go to all the team and also to our sponsors for their generous contributions.”
